This will be a brief outline to show the logical progression using a familiar example.
Okay. As mentioned “Income Science” reveals there are four Pathways or Avenues people use to obtain money. Most people choose to Make It. Once you have decided the pathway you next determine the method or methods you can use.
When people decide to “make money” the first thing they think of is a job (employment). A job is just one way, but it is the method most people choose because it is one of the easiest to implement. Generally, people make a determination in view of a job.
Once you have determined the method you can identify the Role you will play. In this example, the Pathway chosen was to Make It and the Method chosen was Employment. Now the Role is clear. You will be an Employee.

And even if you are an older person, you can still make changes. People change direction such as occupations all the time.
