How to Choose a Career

Making a Choice

How to choose a career? There is a lot of good information on this topic and I make no claim to having everything you need here.

But I do want to point out something that is often overlooked, or at least not emphasized as much as it should. In addition, this is just a very brief overview and not a more detailed examination. The intention here is just to give you some things to think about.

1. Start with Your Interests

There are a number of things you can do in this step but for now, the important thing is to recognize your own interests. Too often people try to please others rather than own up to their own interests.

2. Identify What You Have

Next consider what you have to offer. Look at your talents, skills, knowledge and abilities. What can you do? What do you know? How can these be used?

3. Consider Your Happiness

Now think about what makes you happy. That’s right, what makes you happy. It is okay to actually enjoy what you do and if you are looking at how to choose a career you want it to be something you enjoy.

4. Determine Income

The last thing we will cover here is the item I deem one you always should consider if you really want to know how to choose a career and that is income.

How much do you desire to earn? What is your desired income level? Don’t worry at this point whether your career choice can generate that level of income. Right now, you want to focus on what it is you want to do in terms of what you enjoy.

Figuring out how you can monetize that interest is another process. I suggest learning more “Income Science” principles and applying them as you determine how to monetize.

Learn More About the “Science”

These are just a few tips you can use in your decision regarding how to choose a career. As you explore the “science” you will realize that there are things that just make sense when it comes to making money.

You want to understand why some things work better than others. You want to understand what options are available to you. For example, you want to really understand whether a job (employment) is the best option for you.

This is important because:

Career choice determines Income Level determines Standard of Living

The concepts and principles behind “Income Science” deal with these things. To learn more Click Here
