The Job Outlook is Actually Bleak

You want an honest Job Outlook report? Jobs are not secure and often not much fun for the employee. I don’t listen to the “statistics” about how many were added last month. Don’t get me wrong. I’m happy when people can find work. But first, I am more concerned about the quality of them – are they interesting, fulfilling jobs – and second I am concerned about the pay – the wages or salary. Is that pay enough to live on?

Worried Woman Once you get past the pay, then you get into benefits and other perks. But the pay is basic because that is what people are going to work to get.

Things are different when you factor in various trends and the risks and threats to employment, and there are many of them. These are the kinds of things that make the job outlook bleak from the employee perspective.
