Your Personal Income Is
Vital To Your Survival

The importance of your personal income to your very survival cannot be ignored.

To do so puts you and those who depend on you for support in jeopardy.

Statistical information can be helpful to provide a guide as to how well or how poorly things are going.

But statistics mean little when you are the statistic. In those situations, you want answers and solutions, not statistics.

”Titles Don’t Pay The Bills!”

When it comes to being able to meet your living expenses, I like to say that “titles don’t pay the bills.” One of the things some of my former employers loved to do is convey some title as a reward. The title may not have had attached to it a pay increase.

Thus, my statement, “titles don’t pay the bills.” As far as that goes, you can keep your titles, thank you.

Some people may tell you “money isn’t everything” and that is true as long as you are not worried about your next meal or making some payment. Then money may not be everything.

But you just look at people who have lost their job and they don’t have any income.

You then see that money does become a big thing.

Income-Money Basic To Survival

I mention all of this to point out the importance of money to your survival.

Let’s face the facts. You need money to acquire the food, shelter, clothing, transportation, healthcare, education, recreation – whatever it is you need or want.

How you get your money is income.

Here are three things you should consider:

  • Your lifeline is your income
  • You need income to survive, provide and thrive
  • You really should control one or more sources of your income

  • Build Your Personal Income

A simple definition of total personal income as defined by the United States' Bureau of Economic Analysis is income received by persons from all sources.

That definition includes income received from compensation from employment as well as from government and business transfer payments, supplements to wages and salaries, and more.

Now this points out something that most working people seem to overlook – consider having more than one source of income.
